Endometrial Issues/Not getting answers

by jleitner, Jun 28, 2008 10:40PM
To make a long story short here are three transvaginal u/s results:
March 11, 2008
Uterine vol. 133.07cm3, endo thickness 13.69mm
lft. ovary volume 2.44cm3    rt. ovary volume 9.23cm3
sonographer's note: fluid in the endometruim, right ovar has somewhat irregular appearance
no fluid in the cul de sac, cyst in the uterus near the endometrium

Follow-up u/s on April 15, 2008
uterine vol. 144.44cm 3   endo thickness 11.40mm3
Fibroid 5.99 mm/volume .11cm3
lft ovary volume 2.94cm3   rt. ovary volume 6.09cm3
sonographer's note: right ovary still has what appears to be resolving cyst, small cyst noted in the endo but no fluid, one small fibroid noted in the uterus

Follow-up u/s on June 2, 2008
endo thickness 13.75mm
1-fibroid 20.15mm
2-fibroid 12.86mm
Left ovary 1.71cm3    right ovary 7.03cm3
Sonographer's note: cystic area adjacent to LT anterior endometrial border (?adenomyosis) Lt. Ov. within normal limits, Rt. Ov. cyst 2.3 x 1.6 x 2.3 cm ,

My gyn  performs hysteroscopy but says no fibroids are noted because they are in the wall of the uterus. This angered me because I asked if fibroid would be biopsied due to rapid enlargement and she said yes. So, she basically lied to me. Then she as soon as I sit up from the procedure, she asks if I want the endometrial ablation due to heavy, 12 day periods, clear and sometimes bloody discharge, and pain. (I'm also losing weight and can't eat much due to nausea) This doctor is one of the leading gyns in the area for this procedure and I felt like she has tunnel vision for this ablation. My grandmother was dx at 32 with endometrial cancer and later died from a recurrence and I have two maternal aunts dx with the same cancer, but survived b/c found early. Should I be more concerned and should I get out of this state to find someone who will take me seriously (it's what I've been told). I am 34 years old and I have children. Special thanks to anyone who will take the time to listen. Patients or Doctors.
