Blotted face in Jamaica

While visiting Jamaica my 17year old daughter came down with something.  On the morning of the fourth day she began to experience a hive like rash on her legs and arms.  The next morning her her face swelled up.  She has no temperature, but has minor  discomfort in swallowing, and slight nausa.  She also has minor muscle and joint pain.  By the sixth day (which is today) symptoms persist but appear stable.

I'd want her tested for strep for precaution but usually a fever would persist.  I am going to guess here that it's allergic reaction to something can you get her some benedryl or some kind of anti-histimine?  I'd try that one first.  Good luck!

How are you? How is your daughter? Is there a history of allergies? If there is, the best medication or combination of medications for you depends on your symptoms, what other health conditions you have and what other medications you take. It would be good to take your daughter to a doctor for proper evaluation and management.
