Multiple c-sections

by kahdnm, Jun 29, 2008 10:37AM
I have had two c-sections and we are thinking about having one more child.  What are the risks of having 3 c-sections?

honestly the risks are the same as before.  the only difference now would be the possibility of your scar tissue attaching itself to the uterine wall. i'm not sure how common that really is, as its never happened to me and i just had my 4th c-section (in 5 yrs) a little over 2 weeks ago!  :)  good luck w/ ttc!!!  and make sure you speak w/ your doc about any concerns you may have.

A close friend of mine had her 4th c-section at the beginning of the year, and she had to be booked in for it 2 weeks early, as the place where she had her scar started splitting open inside of her about 6 weeks before she was due.
