Painful, swollen lymph nodes under arm

I have been suffering from pain under my right armpit area and on the very side of my breast (where your bra hits)  for over a year now.  I first saw my ob/gyn for a checkup and breast exam last August - both exams were normal and my dr. wrote it off to an ill-fitting underwire bras causing discomfort.  I recently saw my general practice dr. who did a general physical exam, blood tests, etc. and also did a breast exam and could feel the swollen lymph node(s) in my axillary area and ordered an ultrasound of the area.  The results were that I had two enlarged lymph nodes that have no blood supply flowing to them which made them feel confident that it was not cancer.  I saw a general/cancer surgeon who barely looked at me after looking at the radiology report and ultrasound pictures.  His feeling was that the nodes were still within normal range and that I should follow up with him within 3 - 4 months.  After about a month, I was still having so much pain when wearing a bra or not wearing a bra, that I followed up again with my general doctor.  She again said that I should be fine and maybe should have a professional bra fitting (I did take care of that with no results).  

I just went in for the 3-month follow up ultrasound and was scheduled to see the surgeon again, but he called and said that the ultrasound was fine and he didn't need to see me.  I told him that I was still having pain and concerns and his suggestion was to see my regular doctor again.

What do you suggest?  I'm due for a mammogram in August, but I'm wondering why none of these doctors have sent me to have one now.  I'm still very concerned.
