severe pain years after gallbladder surgery

by catmcshaw, Jun 29, 2008 10:45PM
I am writing this for my 56-year-old husband.  He had his gallbladder removed eight years ago with four small incisions rather than one large incision.  For the past five years or more he has suffered from severe pain in and around one of the incision areas.  He has had every test possible and the doctors (2) can't find anything wrong.  The most recent examination again turned up nothing and the doctor suggested that it must be scar tissue or adhesions from the gall bladder surgery, but that was the end of it.  What can he do to get relief from this severe pain?  It seems that the pain subsides after he lifts weights on his bench press and when he uses the eliptical machine.  Otherwise, he suffers from this sharp pain which takes his breath when he moves or reaches a certain way.  Please tell us if there is a way to get rid of this horrible disability.

This discussion is related to Scar Tissue Adhesions.
