Should I Be Concerned?

by TroubledSoul09, Jun 30, 2008 08:30AM
Hi,

I have been dating a girl for about 3 weeks and we finally were about to have sex Saturday night. We started kissing and then I started fingering her for about 3 or so minutes. I started to notice she was becoming a bit hesitant, even though she was extremely wet. Then, she said she had to tell me something in a very serious tone, that she has herpes. At first, I wasn't sure what to think, because I wasn't too familiar with herpes and thought it was basically, cold sores. She broke things down a bit further and suggested we wait til I'm more informed and sure I'm ready to proceed. After doing my research, I am very appreciative that she told me, while also being a bit concerned that I might have been exposed by fingering her? Do you think I should be worried about this? I had a complete STD test done thru AIM Healthcare in March, which did in fact include a herpes test, and I was negative and haven't been sexually active since, until Saturday. Aside, from kissing this girl for the last few weeks.

Hey Grace,
I noticed that you seem to be the resident expert here, so I thought I would address my concerns straight to you, since I haven't received a response yet. I also read your posting tips to bring my posting back to the top. You can read it above or a copy of it below. Thank You

fingering is not a risk.

You won't contract genital herpes thru kissing.
