Radiotherapy

Hi My 6yr old dauhter has being diagnosed with a Pontine Glioma. She is going to start treatment in three weeks which is radiotherapy and a new drug being trialled that makes the tumour sensitive to the radiation the course is a 6wk course.  Can my daughter have mmultiple courses of radiotherapy?

Hi,

The number of radiotherapy courses that your daughter will be subjected to would depend upon her response to therapy and also on her physical examination. Since the trial drug will make the tumor more radiosensitive, it may actually reduce the number of radiotherapy courses.
