NEVER-ENDING STORY

ABOUT 5 YEARS AGO, I HAD A LUMP REMOVED, BENIGN -THANKGOD. BUT EVER SINCE THEN I HAVE HAD THIS CHRONIC ABSCESS AT THE SCAR. I HAVE TRIED THE ANTI-BIOTICS, THE LANCING. VIRTUALLY EVERYTHING. IT WILL NOT GO AWAY. IT IS VERY PAINFUL, EMBARASSING, AND TIRESOME. I HAVE BEEN TOLD MANY DIFFERENT THINGS ABOUT IT, - OH ITS JUST AN INFECTIED MILK DUCT, JUST PUT A WARM RAG ON IT AND IT WILL LANCE ITSELF. NOTHING HAS WORKED. IT HURTS SOOOOO BADLY I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO. IS THERE ANY ONE HERE WHO CAN HELP ME. IS THIS A SYMPTOM OF A TYPE OF CANCER OR WHAT...... HAS ANYONE EVER HAD THIS PROBLEM. PLEASE SOMEONE GIVE ME SOME ADVISE OR MAYBE AN ANSWER AS TO WHAT THIS THING COULD BE.

Please excuse if this question sounds "dumb" to you but are you seeing a Dr. about this abscess ?? If you have seen a physician I suggest you see someone else as this shouldn't be going on this long. An abscess can be drained and treated with antibiotics successfully as a rule and the sac removed surgically. Good Luck ....
