How to take care of implants and crowns?

by gionnetto, Jun 30, 2008 03:24PM
I am a former dental phobic and I have a mouth full of crowns (all my teeth are capped). I also have 8 implants.

I wanted to know:
1) what is the best way of taking care of my crowns so that they last as long as possible? That is to say, what is the best home hygiene routine and what are the best hygiene related product that I can use to maintain my mouth beautiful?
2) what to search for in a dental office before booking a deep cleaning?

Thanks
RT

Dear Gionnetto,

1.  Flossing every day, brushing after every meal and getting professional cleaning done every three months.  Anti bacteria mouth washes that you can get from the dentist is also very useful.

2.  Best bet is to go to a periodontist office for cleaning.
