Painful red bump

I have a bump smaller than a dime on the side of my scrotum and in between my leg. It is painful to the touch and I have had sex with my ex-girlfriend lately but I don't think she has anything. But this bump is solitary and the reason I ask is that I have twice before gotten a red painful bump with a white head in a different spot( same spot for both previous ones) but it was nowhere near as painful and I believe it was caused due to irritation from shaving. I recently shaved in this area as well but I am just wondering if this is an ingrown hair or irritation or if I should look into getting this checked out. Thanks

Doesn't sound like herpes! Go to a dermatologist at once so he can give you something for it!!
