Vascular Malformation

by TPORTA911, Jul 01, 2008 08:14AM
Hi. I am an active 36 year old female. I have been experiencing dizziness, fatigue, and headaches for the past 2 months. I had a MRI that came back possible vascular malformation in superior right brainstem. My Dr. followed up with a MRA that came back with tortuous blood vessels. I am scheduled to see a neurosurgeon 7/8. In the meantime I cannot do ANYTHING!!! I exercise daily and run 3-5 miles a day. My family Dr. has restricted me because she does not know enough about the diagnosis to do otherwise. I have called the neurosurgeon to find out if I really need to stop exercising completely and to find out if I am able to fly but his receptionist says he cannot give reccomendations until I am seen. I am very nervous about what is going on in my head and taking away my means of dealing with stress is making me crazy. Is it really necessary to stop exercising completely?
