wear and tear

just had my xray results back for my hip, what does wear and tear of the lower back mean, is it another way of saying i have osteoarthritis of the lower back?

It depends on your age, and the way your doctor explains it. i am elderly. my doctor has run many test on my back, and it is just plain wore oput he puts it that as one gets older the body does also, and m,y bones are sort of degenerating, as my back hurts bad, also my hips hurt a lot at night or whem sitting my elacticity is gone i just plain dont have the skin or fat to sit comforably, i just plai tell the dr to tell me in a laymans language, and he does, they have a machine that detects  whoops i thought you meant ostoporoasis but i see it is some kind of arthritus, many prople have that , and there are meds but no cure  i do hope you feel ok otherwise, and that this also lets up, I am not used to typing so maybe you can muddle through this  lucl  jo
