Effectiveness of Hydroxycut?

by aletheia_shortwave, Jul 01, 2008 03:52PM
Hi,

I am twenty years old. My current weight is about 160, but my healthy weight should be around 135 lbs. I would like to get down to this weight by September 1. I am for an hour and a half 3 times per week. I have been trying to eat sensibly. I have seen some improvement but I am transferring to a new school in August and want to speed up my results. I am going to increase exercise to 4-5 times per week, and increase the fruits, vegetables and protein in my diet while eating about 1500 calories in six meals per day.

I have been thinking about the possibility of a weight loss supplement to enhance my results. I have researched the ingredients in Hydroxycut. Most people seem to say the main problem was jitteriness due to caffeine -- but I have always been a coffee drinker so I don't think I would be sensitive to that! I usually drink 4-5 cups of strong black coffee per day, though of course taking Hydroxycut I would switch to drinking green tea instead. I'll also be taking vitamins.

Does anyone know whether Hydroxycut is effective? Any advice or experience is appreciated.
I am not looking for a miracule cure but just a supplement that will help me go the literal extra mile in weight loss.

Thanks!

To: Hi Alexandria
I have taken Hydroxycut before.  I did lose wight takign it, but it's very hard to stick to the ritual of a diet pill.  Plus you must be careful that you have a healthy blood pressure rate for a diet pill.  Hydroxycut does help lose weight faster in my opinion... and I never had a problem with it.  Are you sensitive to caffeine?  If so, it may make you jittery.  And you will liekly feel a crash before your next dose.

I just saw that you put that you drink coffee so scratch the above question.  And yes, you would need to cut back on your coffee drinking.

My most common side effect with it was headache.  It was a part of the "crash" I would feel when it wore off.  Also you must drink a TON of water or you will dehydrate.

Unfortunatel, your body may become used to it after an inital weight loss.  That is what happened for me.  I am now looking into the new Metabolife program that has a phase system.  Phase one is for initial weight loss and phase two is for boosting you past the plateau.

1500 calories a day is hard but attainable.  Try not to go under that though.  In the words of all the pills, "consult a physician before begining any diet" lol.  but I admit, I never do that so I feel hypocrite saying it.
