That is interesting about your heart rate with Seroquel. It has caused mine to be well over 100 bpm at resting. It was so bad at one time the doctors decided to put me on a medication for my heart. Even on the med it is sometimes around 100. Lots of people love Lamictal. I am on it and can't say I love it - but I don't hate it either. I haven't noticed any side effects from it. I didn't get better until Seroquel was added - which is why I am not getting off of it. When I was on Lamictal alone, I was still a mess. The 2 together seem to be working fine. Good luck! Everyone reacts differently to each med. Do not necessarily let the experiences of others determine which meds to take and not take. Discuss your concerns with your doctor.

I am on 200mg Lamictal and 20mg Lexapro.  When I was on Lamictal and Seroquel, I asked the doc to take me off the seroquel because I gained 30 lbs. in 2 months, it made me very tired all the time, and my hair started to fall out.
The Lamictal/Lexapro combination seems to work best for me.
