Colon Cancer or something else

Im not sure what I may have so I am asking some questions to help me first. I am 31 yr male that recently noticed a anal bump just on the inside outside of my anus. It seems hard and bright white like less than a centimeter in diameter. It doesnt hurt but it does hang from a little piece of skin. I am gay and recieved anal sex have been with the same eprson two years always with condoms. I dont have insurance so I was wondering if this could be something serious or something i can treat on my own. Truth be told I almost want to just snip it off but of course wont as I dont know what it is. i am able to pinch the skin. It is causing issues with my partner as they are worried its herpies or something contagious and well obviously not pretty to see.
What should I do, should I be worried.

There is a possibility that it could be a cyst or a thrombosed hemorrhoid or even cancer. I would suggest you to please schedule an appointment with a health care provider as soon as possible. Please do not snip it off yourself.
Anal herpes manifests as a crack or an ulcer in the anal area so that seems unlikely. It is best to get yourself clinically evaluated
