Monofocal problems

by Mitsou, Jul 02, 2008 06:54AM
I had cataract surgery on June 16th.  The monofocal soft lense was supposed to have been set for distance.  Here I am 16 days after surgery with double vision at all distances and a monofocal set for close up.  Everything close up was clear in the first few days and as time passes it is more and more doubled up.  I see so poorly that it makes me  dizzy when I look at any distance.  Can this be the result of the implant having moved?  What can be wrong?  My Ophtalmologist won't see me again until July 8th.  I'm worried sick.

Please call your ophthalmologist's office tomorrow and ask to be seen.  Explain that your vision is becoming more and more blurry every day and that you are extremely worried that something is wrong.  They should be able to see you tomorrow.  All your questions can then be answered in person.  There are many possible reasons for your problems - but you need to be seen in person.
