Friends child's behavior

by Helpfriend, Jul 02, 2008 03:01PM
I have a close friend who has three children the same ages as my children.  Her oldest child, an almost 7 year old boy, is always masterbating or humping the chair or sofa.  He is always wanting to pull his pants down and do pelvic thrusts towards anyone he sees.  His mood is always either very hyper or very withdrawn.  He has started making up stories of peoples' brains coming out or death.  I am starting to worry about my children being around this type of behavior.  Is that normal or should I be worried?  Should I offer advice to my friend?

The behavior you describe is not at all normal and definitely invites concern. It would be good thing to talk with the boy's parents and convey your concern about him. He should be evaluated by a child psychologist or other pediatric menatl health professional.
