How long have they known??

How long has it been since the Neurologist known that head injuries most of the time leads to seizure disorders? Traumatic Epilepsy is a terrible way to get Epilepsy.  In the 1970's I went to the doctors allot complaining about having seizure activities every month and sometimes once a week.  The doctors all told me there was no connection between head injuries and seizure disorders.  Even, during the 1980's the doctors all said the very same thing.  During the 1990's I was finally given a test for seizures and I failed the test.  The Specialist told my family practice doctor that I had Complex Partial Seizure and, the specialist examined my head scares as well.  They told me that I got my seizures from a head injury of the past.  I did have 3 seperate head injuries in the 70's,  and 1980's.  These head injuries were documented in my active duty records by emergency room doctors. Back then they never done MRI, CAT Scans, or X-rays of any of my open head wounds.  They just sewed me up and gave me bed rest and that was all the treatments I ever got.  So, how long has the Neurology Departments known about head injuries cause Epilepsy in head injury paitents?  At present time, I am house-bound with Epilepsy and Anxiety Disorder.
