Husband had a MI in Oct. 2003.  Had a cath and stent.  Upon leaving the hospital was told that he had minimal heart damage.  One year later was told that he had acute ischemic heart disease.  Doctor told him he had to quit his job of 18 years (which was stressful, both physically and emotionally) if he wanted to live.  He did.  Was accepted on disability.  Less than one year after that doctor told him his heart was healed and he could return to work.  Was told he was a miracle.  Husband asked if he could discontinue some of his medications and was told if he did he would be "right back to where he started."  Was told that a year ago he was considering him to possibly be a transplant patient. Don't want to discount miracles but could the heart have possible improved that much?  We are afraid for him to return to work but afraid not to and be reviewed and rejected by disability.  What should we make of this?
