Wishing too hard!

by carebear0202, Jul 02, 2008 06:22PM
Well, I was a part of the December 08 babies team, but I had an ectopic also. I had emergency surgery on April 27th. and I lost my left tube. Still so sad on some days! I blead for about 8 days after that and have not had AF yet! I am so wishing for it because I want to try again and at least I feel like I could be ovulating if I could have my period!!! My husband and I try every 2 days for the past 2 months and nothing. I am peeing on pregnancy sticks like they are going out of style...making myself crazy... with no period I am always thinking it could be positive...but it never is!!! I have cramps sometimes like AF is coming and she never shows herself! Why not...? I called my doc and he says to relax...my body went through alot of trauma and lost alot of blood... but I just can't relax..I wanted that baby so badly. I know everybody here did! It really just ***** (couldn't come up with a better word). I see so many pregnant girls out there now that I lost mine and somedays I just can't stand it! I am thankful for what I have...but I want to get to try again! I hope AF comes soon...I don't really know what the next step is if she never comes? Does anybody know?

I am so sorry that this happened to you. Miscarriages are never easy. Did ur Dr check that ur levels have gone down to non preg level? If so maybe she can help jumpstart ur period by some pills. I didn't get my period post miscarriage for 77 days and ended up with a metho shot. It took my body 2 months after that shot to get back to normal ( had 2 periods in between) and for me to O again. Miscarriages can really mess up the body and I know the frustration u r going thru.
I would talk to the Dr again and ask if she can give u something to jump start ur period.
Good luck carebear....  I'll keep u in my prayers.

I can understand your frustration. I had an ectopic last June and lost my right tube during the surgery :(

My af cycles were also really messed up...my cycles were 55 days, then 51, then 47....each month they got shorter though. My dr. told me it would take up to 6 months for my cycles to go back to normal...but thankfully we got our bfp on my 4th cycle after the surgery...so don't give up hope, it just takes time.

Your body has been through alot, so try to relax and do not stress over it...I know this is hard, but its the best thing you can do. If, after another couple months, your cycle is still messed up, give your dr. a call and see if there is anything they can do to jumpstart your cycles for you.

Good luck and lots of hugs :)
