Namaste,

Abilify is an antipsychotic medication. It works by changing the actions of chemicals in the brain.

Abilify is used to treat the symptoms of psychotic conditions such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder (manic depression). It is also used together with other medications to treat major depressive disorder in adults.

Excessive sweating can be one of the majot side effects of Abilify, however, I have never heard of anyone developing cysts from taking the medication.

Contact your provider for more advice.

Yeah, I get sweats from my Wellbutrin.  I have not noticed it from the Abilify.  I love both meds though, they work great for me.  I started the sweats from Wellbutrin and was put on Abilify later, so I do not know if it causes it too.  All I know is I had to go get a powder puff and some powder and use it twice a day now! LOL.... good luck!!

YES!! I has the extreme heat intolerance as well as water retention. I was put on 40mg. of Lasix and I no longer have the issue with heat anymore. It was so bad I went off Abilify for a few months because of it. No other med helped so I went back on but with Lasix. The Lasix allows me to tolerate the Abilify and the Abilify is the only drug that has returned me to "normal". You may want to ask your doc about it??
Good luck.

I forgot the 2nd part of your question. No I never developed cysts from Abilify. That could be another condition, I would have it looked into to be safe.
