tinea cruris/herpes

by pokerplayer28, Jul 03, 2008 12:29AM
i recently went to the doctor to have a rash on my inner thigh treated, which he says was tinea cruris or jock itch from working in 95 degree weather all day. however, i have noticed that i also have a lot of colorless bumps on the lower to mid shaft of my penis. they arent painful and have never blistered but could it possibly be herpes?

why are you doubting the diagnosis of someone who's actually seen your symptoms?

hello

it's nearly 4 months since i posted this, and i still have those colorless bumps. Over the months they haven't gotten worse, but not better either. It's looks like acne, except no redness. the jock itch rash which was on my inner thighs is completely healed. could you please give me some advice? i cant go to my regular doctor right now because i have an internship miles away. could herpes permanently be there ? because i've heard and read that it has outbreaks and the herpes crusts over and heals which this has never done. thanks in advance!

These aren't herpes.  Herpes symptoms come and go with definite periods of no symptoms in between. Sounds like something completely normal.  Our genital skin is not completely smooth - bumps are normal :)
