How Long Does Anesthesia Stay in Your System?

by jello_1955, Jul 03, 2008 03:22PM
My mom had a total knee replacement surgery 2 weeks ago.  She had a spinal tap.  She was on pain meds but they made her naseous so she stopped taking them, which is ok since she said she's not having much pain anyway.

However, she's still very tired, has no appetite and still feels naseous.  She's an 80 year old Asian woman and I have heard that Asians are more sensitive to anesthesia.

not sure how long it stays in your system, but it would probably be best to have her see a doctor if the problems persist too much longer.
