Test at 8 weeks

by rougepapillon, Jul 03, 2008 06:24PM
I had anal sex where I was the receptor though we did it for about 5 minutes and he did not ***. I tested negative for a series of Std tests including HIV at around the 6th week. Then I did a saliva test on at the 7 and 8th week and it also came negative. I went to the urologist and told me I had blood in my urine which I could not see. They did a CT Scan two days ago (07/01/08) and I just got the report from it. Everything looks normal. I wonder if I should be concerned. I have also noticed the veins in my hands a little more pronounced, floaters and a vein close to my penis a lot more pronounced. Help. The question is, should I take an Elisa test on my 12th week? or should I do the saliva (mouth) test? and should I be worried about my symptoms?
THANK YOU...

4-6  weeks is not dependable at all. There isn't a test that can give one a reliable negative result that early.

I am definitely taking the 3 months test as well. So far I have taken 5 test, all of which negative (3 Elisas and 2 Mouth tests). It is not worth the pain and suffering for me and those around me.

My next test will be on July 29th. Should I do Saliva or Blood?

I did an Oraquick Advance test at 10.5 weeks after exposure and it came out Negative. Do you think I should do my test at the 12th week or at the 13th week? and Should I trust the 10.5 week results? Thank you so much.

I just came from LabCorp for a Antibody test...waiting for a couple days and hoping to get a conclusive negative result. I had an Oraquick test at 11.5 weeks as well. I have been starting to notice blue veins on the palm of my hands, I am not sure if they where there before. Also, I went to the eye doctor and he told me I would have to do a test for Glaucoma? because I was at risk based on his eye examination. My regular doctor put me on amoxicillin because of a swollen lymph node in my neck and red throat. Do you think the abtibiotic will affect the test in any way? what chances do i have in getting another negative result at 12.5 since my last as at negative at 11.5?

Thank you very much.
