Girl Friend has recently had Hives/cough

by Sammy12395, Jul 03, 2008 10:14PM
Hello, around 4 months ago now i went to thailand and had two not so safe situations. One was that a condom slipped down exposing my shaft but not the delicate area.

The second was oral sex with a ladyboy - this may not sound nice but - when she spat in the toilet...i did notice some blood...however i think this was from her nose as she did the ...sniffing and clearing mouth technique (im not sure quite how to say it).

Sorry for the details, but they both claimed HIV neg. When i left i got a quick HIV test 4 weeks after which came back negative. Another point was that i contracted herpes - possibly due to the slipping of the condom, however i know that is easy to catch - and i havent had an outbreak since and believe it wont be a problem for me due to fit and healthy lifestyle. So yes, two mistakes, two not so safe people but claimed HIV neg, and a 4 week HIV neg test result, and no other symptoms.

However recently, my girl friend has had a prolonged cough which has had me worrying - although we have never had unprotected sex while shes had the cough. But, last week we did have unprotected sex...briefly and the changed to a condom (5 mins or so), this happed a few times. Shes had hives about a week after first having the unprotected sex. It also coincides with her having increased overtime (im living in Japan and they work a ridiculous amount).

She visited the doctor who said it was down to stress...and shes taking meds and its quickly dissappeared.

I know, all i can do now is get another test. Im just wondering on opinions on the situation...as i know coughs and hives can be many other things.

i will get another test asap

thanks, Sam

Tests are conclusive for 99% of the population at 3 months.

About all you can do is get tested but I wish you and your girlfriend luck.

You were never at risk in the situation that you provided and testing is not warranted.
