11 yr. old having trouble pooping

My 11 year has just recently told me that she has trouble pooping. At first I thought that it may be just normal, as she has had it in the past but only to to wiping excessively, so I let it pass. about a day later she told me that  it is terribly painful while going to the bathroom. Then i started to worry.  She has never had problems in the past other than a normal flu along with diarrhea. I'm not sure what to do. Is it normal? Or should I take her to the doctor?

Is it enough though, if she isnt constipated is she sore around that area, there are creams you can put on or she can do it herself Vaseline or Destin are good and soothing, also ask if she is cleaning the Area gently without scrubbing too hard there are delicate membranes there.

When she first told me, that's what I thought too. Then started to watch what she was eating and it seems normal.

She sounds like she is constipated and that would hurt, how is her Diet? give her plenty of Fibre, Cereal in the morning , Orange Juice, Fibre, thats fruit and veg, bulk in her food. If it persists its always best to go to see your Doctor maybe he will tell you a Laxative is in order.
