Symptoms for the past 3 years and more developing

by maria19609, Jul 04, 2008 03:52PM
For the past few years I've been suffering with extreame fatigue, all over body ache, sporadic muscle spasms in the ribcage area, Back pain (Moderate to Severe Spondylosis in the Thoracic and Lumbar area), right sided weakness, night sweats (warm & clammy), periods of severe heartburn (GERD), very dry and sensitive skin where I develop sores that last for about a week or two sometimes longer.
Just recently, my eyeballs have been hurting & having the feeling as though they have been scratched, blurred vision due to the gunk that gets in them and light sensitivity, so I went to see my eye doctor and he said that I have dry eye plus my left eye has some lid retraction and eye protrusion.
I went to the dentist to find out what was going on with my tongue as it has been painful with a white coating on it with a change in taste at times. He said that my saliva isn't producing like a normal persons would so....he recommended me to an ENT where he drew blood for Sjrogren's Syndrome. The SSA & SSB were negative however the RF came back positive. <=1:40   RFQnt <11 and ANA negative; however the paper work said that they were "unable to determine the presence of A typical ANCA pattern due to concomitant ANA." (Anyone have an idea of what this means?)

It's odd, because when I complained last year the doc ran RF and ANA and they both came back negative. What ever is happening is taking a toll on me with labs gradually increasing.

I am surgically post menaposal since age 27 and am now 48, smoke 1 pk cigarettes a day, I have a history of Vitiligo, Thyroid Eye disease, low grade follicular/papillary variant thyroid carcinoma, (Thyroidectomy) Vitamin D Deficiant, (Taking 1000 IU daily during spring & summer months, 2000IU Fall & Winter months.
I've added to my daily regimine natural tears, sailene nose spray, and vanicure (Dr. recommended) for my skin.

I take 150 mcg Synthroid daily (AM) and 1 mg. clonazepam (PM)
Does anyone know whats happening to me???
I'm thinking of going to see a Rheumatologist?

Anyone have an idea of what may be happenig to me.

To: Maria
I just read an interesting article in a newsletter published by National CFIDS Foundation regarding similarities symptoms in many autoimmune disease, which include but not limited to:

             FATIGUE
             SLEEP DISTURBANCES
             SHORT-TERM MEMORY LOSS
             LOW THYROID FUNCTION
             SWOLLEN GLANDS
             CHEMICAL SENSITIVITIES
             HEADACHES,
             PAIN
             INFECTIONS (including Candida)

I have ME/CFIDS, Addison Disease, Hypothyroidism....consequently, I have all of your symptoms.  However, it really doesn't mean they are what you have.  It is important that you contact a well informed doc who is familiar with these diseases, also, Lyme, MS, LUPUS,. etc.  So, he can go thru process of elimitaiton and offer a more precise dx, so you can get proper treatment for your symptoms.

Hugs,
Kit
