Intracranial Hypertenstion and Glaucoma

by mra86, Jul 07, 2008 02:40AM
I have been diagnosed with IH for the past 10 years.  My pressure is normally between 32 and 36.  I have had the very strange effect in my left eye.  My vision went blurred, severe pain and bleeding.  I went to my local optomitrist who tested my pressure and reported it to be 30.  My question is, the presure in my head, does it relate to the presure in my eye or is this seperate from intractranial hypertension and that I have now developed Glaucoma.

They are two totally separate problems.  Some people who are treated with steroids can develop high intraocular pressure - so look out for that.  Also some people have genetically thicker corneas and that can make the intraocular pressure read artificially high.
