by tashan, Jul 08, 2008 01:49AM
i wanted to know what are the correct thyroxine dosages for the respective tsh values obtained.likewise----------
if i have tsh from 1-1.1 then what should be the tsh dosage required,
if i have tsh from 1.2-1.3 then what should be the tsh dosage requirement,........and so on
in the same way i want the complete chart of thyroxine dose for every value of tsh
can anyone entertain my thoughts

A TSH valve does not necessary mean a certain dosage requirement is needed.

For example: people with no thyroid may meed to maintain a dosage of .112-200 mcg to maintain a TSH of around 1.0-2.0

Where as others may only need .75-.88 to achieve the same results.

A TSH value needs to be adjusted to a persons well being- there is not one value of dosage for every individual to meet an optimal TSH value.

If only your logic was so simple - I see where you might be going on this.

No one can tell you how much medicine will work for you.  It can't be said how much each dose will affect your numbers.  There is really no way to tell.  We are all different, and have different chemical makeups. I have heard/read that men seem to need more medicine compared to women, obese people tend to need more to get their numbers down.  Pregnant women need more than nonpregnant women.  Elderly people need less than the young. As far as how much?  Really there is no way to tell, but I wish it could be that easy!
