Help me not go insane!

Let me just state I am a pee-on-a-stick-aholic.  I'm only 7DPO and I just had to test tonight.  Even though I know it's early and AF isn't due until Sunday.  I decided to get the Clear Blue Digital so there would be no guessing and it said "5 days sooner".  Okay, I know I'm more than 5 days away.  And of course it was "not pregnant".  Luckily, it was a 3 pack.  This is our first time TTC since we experienced our second m/c back in February.  I was/am scared to death it will happen again and didn't think I'd be this nervous waiting to test....you know what you don't know can't hurt you!  What if this isn't our month?  We've never had problems getting pregnant, just staying pregnant.  What if my body has gone through this drastic change and I can no longer get pregnant?  Went to RE and did all kinds of testing, including chromosome testing, and everything came back normal, but what if something beyond his testing is wrong with me and I can't get pregnant or m/c again?  I'm great at giving advice, but when it comes to me, I'm a basket case.  When would be the soonest I could test and actually get an accurate result?

The soonest would be 5 days before your period HOWEVER if you read the fine print, it says that something like only 40% of pregnancies will show that early on the test, and then at 4 days before its like 50%...if you look closely at the package it should say.  You are too early to tell.  Try to relax and if you've gone through testing then I'm sure everything is fine...I can't remember what the statistic is, but even if you time intercourse for ovulation, I think you only have a 30% chance of getting pregnant each cycle..maybe you are in that group...maybe you are the other 70% this month.  It is normal to have anxiety about getting pregnant but you have to try to squelch it...it isn't good for you...take care!

Thanks, this is the first time we've "calculated" getting pregnant, just because it was suggested by my RE.  My other pregnancies I always tested a day before AF was due.  But for some reason, I can't seem to hold out this time.  I want to know now!  This 2WW is killing me!

The 2ww is always miserable!  I was pretty good this time and now AF is a week late tomorrow with a bfn this morning!  I pray every night that I'll wake up to a bfp and not af!  Take care!

Thank you so much for your encouraging words.  I'm going to try not to let tonight's BFN get me down.  I've made a promise to myself not to test again until this weekend.  I'm just going to relax and if this isn't my month that will be okay.  I'll call my RE and get assistance for next month.  STICKY BABY DUST TO YOU TOO!  Good luck with your "mommy" journey!  Keep in touch!

i would test around 12dpo just to make sure you give yourself enough time.  i also had my second MC back in Feb 08 and i am just as crazy about peeing on a stick and pregnancy as you are.  i just found out that i am again pregnant and worry just the same that it will all be taken away from me.  what i can tell you is we have to relax, as hard as it sounds.  also if by any odd chance you do MC again next pregnancy, you need to go see a fertility doctor right away and have all the tests run on you to make sure it is not something simple like a common bloos clotting DO.  but for now, wait a few days and best again.

i know where you are coming from, i am only 6 DPEO (Days past expected ovulation) and feel like i want to test now.

I havent had any symptoms yet..... so havent really got my hopes up this month. Guess ill be going on trying for month # 5.

Leighanne, when did you 1st get symptoms before your BFP?
