Vertebral Artery Dissection

by moonmaiden, Jul 09, 2008 01:49PM
I had a TBI and subsequent VAD that resulted in a stroke.  Had MRA and MRI.  I suffer from severe headaches and also have bouts of unsteadiness, dizziness, and balance problems.  My question is regarding exercise. I see a neurologist 4 times a year, an eye doctor due to nystagmus/oscillopsia, a chiropractor, and GP.  No one has given me much insight into what types of exercises I can do. I was a patrol officer for 15 years and had to retire on disability, but was in good physical shape. I'm female.  I lifted weights and did cardio regularly. I have a treadmill at home and used to run on it, but am unsure if that is a viable or safe option for me. I also have had a C-4-6 spinal fusion.  I need advice on what is appropriate for me with regard to exercise. I'm 50 years old.

Thanks.
