Desperate for answers

Hello Doc. Recently I had an encounter with a woman I met for first time. She definitely seemed the promiscuous type. What occurred is basically self-masturbation but we did touch each other and I am concerned that I may have touched her and then myself causing infection. At one point she climbed on top of me and tried to insert my penis but I declined. I did not enter her vagina but very good possibility my penis head may have brushed it slightly. This was 7 days ago. I have since developed a small red - what looks like - rash on my penis head. It is small. I also have cold / allergy symptons. What are my chances of catching something from this episode? Do I need to be tested?

You describe a very low risk event. Theoretically some STDs, in particular herpes and HPV, can be transmitted by non-pentrating sex, such as genital apposition or hand-genital contact. However, it rarely occurs in real life. "Brushed lightly" with the vaginal opening probably carries no significant risk.
I cannot judge the red spot on your penis. If you are certain it is abnormal, see a health care provider. Other than that, I see no reason for examination or testing for STDs.

The girl in question claims that she is disease free so I am starting to feel a little better but still concerned about the rash on my penis head.
More I think about it, I may have had similar rash before. Not even sure if I should call it a rash as it looks like very very small pimples, one isolated single pimple on one side and on the other side (one the edge of the mushroom, if I can call it that?), about 3 small pimples close to each other with some redness around them.
Could this be irritation from clothing, or maybe urine or something? Any thoughts on this? I realize it is difficult to conclude for sure without seeing but wondering what else might cause this, besides the STD that I fear! Should I try a cortizone cream or something else over the counter to see if it goes away?
