prescription too strong?

by jodi579, Jul 09, 2008 04:48PM
I was give a new presciption after 7 years of wearing the same old one when i was 10. i am now 18 and decided to get my new prescription through contacts for the first time. i dont know if it is all the drastic changes but when i wear my new contacts i start to get a headache because it seems too strong. strangely enough, when i wear the contacts for a few days they are ok. everytime i put in new ones from the package, my head hurts again. (the pain is around the temporal lobe. if that helps at all?) adding to the problems, i appear to have "dry eyes" and when i take out my contacts it feels like i am dragging off my pupil. to compensate, i squirt a little multi purpose saline solution so it slides out easier. so my questions: is my prescription ok? and are all the symptoms normal? what should i do to rectify the problems? thank you!

You should return to whomever fit you contacts (optometrist or ophthalmologist) and discuss the problem. that's not something that can be delt with over the internet.
