3 months or 6 months?

I have noticed that in this forum it is said that after 3months/12weeks your HIV test results are conclusive.
My question is why that is if the CDC says 6months... Why 6? and to whom does that 6 months apply to.
After my 12th week can I rest knowing I'm not infected? What is it 3 or 6?
Should I get a PCR test?

I'm sorry but is 3months like 12weeks.... are 12 weeks long enough for a conclusive test?
I have already asked and it was answered.
