I have a constant bad taste in the throat and my saliva also has quite a nasty tase. I brush my teeth up to 4 times per day and floss at least twice a day. Within minutes, I get a bad taste in my saliva. What can this be and can it be treated?

Bad taste and bad breath can be caused by many different factors such as gum inflammation, oral infection, post nasal drip, stomach reflux, fungal infection, dry mouth and many others.

The first step is to identify the reason.  You should see your dentist and advise him/her of  your symptoms.

In most cases there are effective treatments, but this depends on making the correct diagnosis.
