This patient support community is for discussions relating to thyroid issues, goiter, Graves disease, Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, Human Growth Hormone (HGH), hyperthyroid, hypothyroid, metabolism, pituitary gland, cancers, thyroiditis, and thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH).
It is generally felt that once you have them, you always have them. The questions in your case to ask are; have you been tested for several antibodies?
A diagnosis of Grave's should be based on the presence on TSI antibodies.
The other question that begs asking is, what is "high"? Was your TPOab 980 and dropped to 15? Or was it 53 and dropped to 12? A drop of twenty or thirty points would not be unussual.
There are several scenarios where your TPOab or TGab may drop considerably, but autoimmune diseases are not curable. Since they are not curable, and are caused by rogue antibodies, logic says the antibodies do not go away.
