vitreous changes...

So after seeing a retinal specialist at the Cleveland clinic to get a 2nd opinion about a partial PVD I had in my right eye, I learned I was misdiagnosed by my local eye MD. The retinal specialist said I didn't have a PVD in either eye, and my retinas looked fine... no holes, tears, etc. He did say I had some natural changes occuring with the vitreous, causing shadows to be cast on my retina, causing me to see the cobweb like floater I've been complaining about. I forgot to ask him, so I thought I'd ask here... Does having a changing vitreous always lead to a PVD?

So that is good news.  You should be glad.  Yes, you can defintely have degeneration of the vitreous with new floaters without having a PVD.
