help me please!

by reality77, Jul 10, 2008 10:43PM
I am a 28 year old male. Last year around this time my right hand starting tingling it was a constant tingling 24 hours a day for about 6 weeks or more occasionally my left hand would tingle as well as my face. I had been in a very minor car wreck. I have a very bad anxiety disorder worse than anyone I think Ive ever come across. I went to a chriopractor
because he was a friend of mine and he got a neck mri for free for me of course this showed my lower brain as well.
There were some minor injuries i cant remember which c whatevers...it also showed some chronic sinistus...
but nothing alarming....A few months prior 2 this i noticed i could feel the blood as it traveled in my arm near where they check your pulse. Recently my right hand has been tingling again all day and night and my face tingling as well. I notice that there is some pain in my right arm and hand as well.
The other day I had a monsterous anxiety attack and thought i was having a stroke...I felt weird as heck and had been sick prior to all this. I told the doctor i was scared i was having a stroke or could have a brain tumor etc,,,
and that my father passed away from gleo blastoma...he said well let me run a ct to give you some peace.
So i was like okay...He came back and said the ct was normal...I had low potasium which in the few times I have been to the er this has been consistent....they drew my blood...gave me potasium and prescribed me ativan...
Everyone thinks IM a idiot because worry has been consuming me and my anxiety has basically made me
unable 2 do just about anything. I lost my job and have no health insurance now. My question is...can anxiety do all this to a person? And secondly would a ct be helpful in showing ms legions etc...I guess I doubt this is a brain tumor since the ct was clear my neurological exam was good(where they have u follow a pen sqeeze hands etc... and my white/red blood cells were normal i assume or they would have told me...i also have pain above my eyes in the sockets and get nose bleeds...lately ive been stressed as HELL and been short of breath alot...i dont really eat right or exersise as i should...i went to my doc lately and he just said its in my head and put me on celexa which made my heart beat slow around 50 bpm so i stopped taking it...i do need help with anxiety but i really have a hard time thinking its really linked to chemicals anyways...i know thats alot...
What do you think is going on here? And what should i do...

Hi,

I think it is quite possible that stress and anxiety are giving you all these symptoms. Believe me it can do more it can give you a high blood pressure and cardiovascular problems as well.
I would advise you to relax and make a note of all the things that are making you anxious and stressed. This way you will be able to deal with them individually.
Also make sure you eat right, exercise regularly, maintain your fluid intake. You can take a mild tranquiliser in the night and do some breathing exercises and meditation to relax yourself. Take care!

so even the constant tingling with pain?
and i noticed i feel numbness in my back when
in certain positions...you dont this its ms?

and again would a CT show ms lesions?
or if i had a tumor in the central nervous system
area of the brain would a CT show that?

IM kind of assuming that the answer would be yes even
though i know a MRI is the preferred test for MS...
