Recovery from facial trauma and surg

by Seanchrys, Jul 11, 2008 01:29AM
Hello, I am also very curious about all this recovery. I am 3 months out after have 4 plates but in my face and orbital floor to repair my injuries from a car acciedent. Swelling is much much better. Still not right though. I still lack most of the feeling on that side of my face, and have trouble even making normal faces. Not sure if I am just impatient, or if this is normal protocal. Any advice would be great. Thanks so much

After this major reconstruction from extensive trauma, three months is very early to expect full recovery.  It will probably another three to six months before you feel more normal.
