dense tissue

I had a breast ultrasound done month ago got a phone call from my doctor that they need to fellow up after 6 month because I have dense tissue. my appt. is 3 weeks from now for ultra sould should I call to get a appt. early.

On an ultrasound a dense breast tissue appears white while a cancer appears black.
An ultrasound is more helpful in picking up small tumors in women with dense breasts than a mammogram.
I think you can wait for 3 weeks but if it is making you very anxious you can push for an earlier appointment.
