urine infection at 37wks

i'm 37weeks pregnant and been having contractions for 30hours they started at 19min apart gradually getting closer for last 6hours 4mins apart and lasting 80sec been told i'm not in labour as the cervix still closed and that its prob down to urine infection which i've got to wait 4days for results

4 Days is too long! UTI's are a symptom of early labor I think. Did they give you an antibiotic just in case? That's what they did for me.  That totally sounds like labor to me!

A UTI can be diagnosed w/ a pee test in less than 10 mins - did they say why it will take 4 days to get the results?  This makes no sense at all.
