from hypothyroidism to hyper??

by jl45, Jul 11, 2008 10:19AM
I have been hypothyroid for about almost 10 years.  In all that time they slowly increased my synthroid, but I still never felt good.  Got my TSH down to just under 2 and all of a sudden I was having muscle atrophy, fatigue and severe allergies and migraines. Gained 12 lbs (I am 45, 5 ft 1" and usually weigh around 115-118)  Increased my meds a little and my TSH went up to 2.8!  so we increased them again, from .125 to .1375 and now all of a sudden I am at a .091!  Which suggest that I am hyperthyroid.  we are now alternating the .125 and tthe .1375 to see how that works, but my TSH constantly goes up and we have to re-adjust my meds.  This is so frustrating, is this normal.  By the way I am not experiencing a single symptom of hyperthyroid, and honestly I feel the best that I have in years.  Why is this?
