I apologize for yet another question, but I am wondering how you ladies handled maternity bras. I dont really want to spend the money on them right now since I know that the girls have more changing to do, I am only 14 weeks. But, they have grown so I went to Walmart and bought a cheaper bra, no wire, in a size that fits me. Although, I have found that the bigger size bras, which I am now in cant be worn with my regular shirts. The bra sticks out of my shirts, like my favorite old navy tanks, I cant wear them now because the bra hangs out. I gave in and went and tried some maternity bras yesterday thinking that I could find one that would allow me to wear regular shirts, and NOPE! THey all stick out. These are not ununusual shirts I am trying to wear, just tank taops and t shirts with wider round necksCervical spondylosis Head and neck glands Herpes zoster (shingles) on the neck and cheek Irritated seborrheic kerotosis - neck Lymph tissue in the head and neck. Melanoma - neck Neck lump Neck pain Neck pulse Neck x-ray Oral cancer. Does anyone have a solution for this? I know there has to be one because I have been diligently looking at the shirts of preggo's around me out in public and they dont have bras sticking out.....

Thank you! Can I ask where you got those bra's? The closest maternity store to me is 100 miles, and we are going at the end of the month and I would love to invest in a bra like you are describing.

I totally know what you mean; my bras show out of a lot of my tanks too (interestingly I find that it happens the most w/OId Navy tanks, as you mentioned...). I have been able to wear regular bras, just one cup size up. I stick w/the underwire because it's incredibly uncomfortable for me to not have proper support.... I am going to start shopping around for good nursing bras really soon. I'm just not sure where to go??? So basically I'm not really helping you at all (lol!), but just saying I understand. Thanks for asking the question, I hope some gals have some advice for us! :)

I have had that problem too but my solution was to actualy wear a tank with a built in bra. Not the ones like a sports bra because that is just uncomfortable to me but an actual bra. My favorite one I got at Kohls it's microfiber and has an actual bra built in with an underwire and comes in white, blackBlack cohosh Black draught Black haw, and beige (I have one in every colorColor blindness Color blindness tests Color vision test). I know when it's time to nurse I'll have to probably switch to the nursing bras but for now it's a good solution for me. The only problem is that the tank isn't long enough to cover the babyBabies and heat rashes Baby feeding patterns belly so I do have to wear it as a bra, not as a shirt. But it works great. I get good support and don't have any straps showing like you get with the bras. The only other thing I can think of is maybe try to find a razorback style bra that works for you (personally those just annoy me but many women like them). Hope this helps.

Oh I also found a bra a couple months ago at the Motherhood maternity store that was a nursing bra but it had regular straps (not like the really wide ones on most maternity bras). This bra even had some lace on the sides and was pretty. I think it was only $20 or so and they had a wide range of sizes. I wish I had bought one but I had decided to wait on getting the nursing bras at the time because my regular ones still fit.
I can't really answer the question about the straps though.....sorry....
PS) and you are right in expecting some more growth - mine had a major growth spurt around 20 weeks. So you may want to hold off on any major purchases!
