dizzie and lightheaded

by harryo180, Jul 12, 2008 07:25AM
Can anyone relate to these symptoms,i get this feeling that i am dizzie and lightheaded i also get this sensasion across my forehead and down my nose it then goes into the roof of my mouth and my eyes feel heavy, i get these feelings 24/7 or as soon as i am awake, I had a scan on my brain came back normal ,i have seen a ent doctor he put a camera up my nose said everything looked fine, he is sending me for a scan on my sinuses i have had these feelings for 7 months now,I try to convince myself that this is tension and anxiety but then  i start to think it may be something else, I dont think it is my sinuses because my nose is clear of any mucus and is not blocked up in any way,it is on my mind as soon as i wake up and  no matter how hard i try i cannot brush aside in my mind that there is something wrong other than anxiety. My GP just keeps telling me there is nothing wrong but does not give me any medication to ease my anxiety.

I've been getting the heavy eyes feeling a lot over the past couple or so months and i hate it. I'm sure that my anticipation of it happening brings it on, especially when i get up in the morning. It feels like i hav'nt slept for couple of days and it can come just as quick as it can go. Somedays i don't have it at all, but i always know it will be back. I think i would rather feel dizzy than have this feeling. The rest of my body feels ok and i don't feel lethargic at all, it's just my eys and front of head that get this sensation.

I think what margypops said is worth checking into, it maybe low blood sugar and that is easily done by blood work, i did however get a little excited when i saw your post because i have those same symptons (with the exception of heavy eyes), i know most people say that they feel heavy in the chest and arms and feels like they cant breath, but my symptons of anxiety when im nervous is in my head, feeling lightheaded and a little unstable, hate it.  wondering if you have had anxiety for a while or are you just assuming you may have it.  if you do have it you do need to find a doctor that will listen to you and possibly give you something to help you feel better, i know it is a scary feeling when we feel this way.

good luck
let us know how you are making out.

Hi everyone, I have not posted for a while i have been waiting for the result of my scan on my nose and sinuses.Well i got the result today ent doctor informed me by letter telling me my scan was normal and wantd to see me in September to dicuss the result,I have now had a scan on my brain, scan on my sinuses, camara and scope up my nose.As all these tests have come back normal i dont think there is much more they can do to find out what is wrong with me.I am still feeling dizzy and lightheaded still getting sensation across my forehead and temples, pain on the bridge of my nose and the roof of my mouth.I think i may have to accept that this is all down to stress and anxiety Thank you for your replies i am very grateful to those who took the time to reply it is reasureing to know that you are not alone with these symptoms.I am going back to my doctor to see if he will  give me something to help me relieve some of these symptoms.
