Pulse Rate

by Sarah_Clemente, Jul 12, 2008 12:56PM
Hi.  I am 49 years old and a smoker, at least 10 sticks a day.  I am 57 kilos and also hypertensive, although my blood pressure is controlled 135/87 to 138/90, however my pulse rate is 110 to 114.  Is this normal?  Please advise.

This pulse rate is not normal and should be further investigated.  You should have your thyroid checked and you should be ruled foe anemia.  Someone should look at your EKG to see why your heart rate is so high.  Stop smoking.
