I am a patient suffering from depression.I feel like dead wood in the day and this has affected my work.I have tried
caffeine but is there anything that can get me going?

There are many medications that  can get you going.  Caffeine may stimulate you but doesn't deal with the depression.  You can be helped with medications...be sure and see a psychopharmacologist if you have been on many medications in the past that have not worked.
