Spinal pain

by Mojobeast46, Jul 12, 2008 02:08PM
I've had M.S.  for thirteen years. This summer I've started having a sharp electrical, burning-tingling pain up and down my spine. It's unceasing and very uncomfortable/distracting. I tried tegretol, but found that it made me very dizzy and nauseated.  Has anyone else experienced this? If so, could they let me know if they've found a helpful solution please? Thank you.

This discussion is related to pain medication for MS patient.

I have burining/ tinling sensation in many places, including up and down my spine.  It is very painful.  I have been taking neurontin and it seems to help.  It helps with neurological pain.  I have really liked it as there are few side affects that I have noticed.  I am not diagnosed with MS, but I have alot of the symptoms.  Neurontin and Lyrica are both commonly used to treat the neurological pain associated with MS.  I have tried both and prefer neurontin.  If you have more questions or want more advice I would let you know that Quix in the MS forum would know a lot more about the medications that I.
