maybe you were just feeling gas before. 16 weeks is early to be feeling the baby

I agree with luv4kids.  Call your doctor ASAP - any change in movement warrants immediate investigation.

Also, I disagree with evthing4reasons comment - 16 weeks is not too early to feel your baby move ESPECIALLY since this is your second.  Do not ignore this and simply put it down to the possibility that you "may" have felt gas earlier.  Maybe it was gas BUT what if wasnt........

it was definaly not gas before because when i held my hand tight to my stomach i could feel her kick my hand. and the doc told me to drink something sweet and lie on my left side and if no movement after an hour to call back to make an appointment.

16 weeks is really early to be feeling the baby move constantly. i was 19 weeks when i had my ultrasound and she was moving like crazy and i couldnt feel her. i didnt really start to feel her move until i was around 22 weeks. are you sure it wasnt just gas? i know every pregnancy is different but that just seems to early that they would worry bout it. the baby is tiny, not even a lb yet so they cant expect you to feel much during the kick count (the drinking and laying on your side) but better safe then sorry, so def do it but i wouldnt be too worried if you dont feel much!

I agree about calling your doctor, HOWEVER: at that stage of pregnancy, 16w, it is COMPLETELY normal not to feel your baby EVERY day. You can feel her move alot for a couple days then almost not at all for a couple days. My son did that til I hit about 28w. (he'll still go days where he only moves a little.)

I have felt my baby move everyday since I was 15w. Granted this is my 4th child, but 16 weeks is def. not to early, everyone is different, and many things contribute to how and when others feel their babies move. I trust that you KNOW that your baby was moving, and now she isn't.

I would call ASAP, and don't waste anytime doing so, and if you need an appointment, try to get it sameday or even early the following morning.

Good luck, I hope all is well and that your baby girl is just having a few lazy days.

I am having my second child and have felt her about every day since around the 15 week mark.  You can always try what my grandma calls the poor man's ultrasound, you drink something like a soda and eat a candy bar (basically make him/her VERY hyper) and lay on the left side.  Let us know how it goes.  But you prob want to call the doc if you still don't feel the baby.
