my partner had a stent  put in earlier this year due to a heart attack...some of his meds are for high blood pressure, cholestral, he's on a beta blocker and takes asprin.... he is finding it impossible to lose any weight.... are any of his meds responsible for this?????  he's eating a much  more heallthier diet than he was a year ago yet his can't lose any weight.

the meds that he's on are not known for increasing appetite or slowing down your metabolism.  More importantly, your partner should do a daily calorie count.  Also, to be complete your partner should have their thyroid checked.
