I am 25 weeks pregnant and I lost 5 pounds and do not know how. Is this dangerous for me or the baby. Because of the situation that I am in I can only eat once a day, somedays twice. please let me know

Well only eating once a day is probably not suffucient for you and your growing baby.  I would be passed out on the floor if I only ate once a day.  That is probably the reason for the wt loss.  The baby will get what it needs from you.  It is you that will suffer from only eating once a day.  Your body is probably burning up the fat stores and everything else going to the baby which would probably explain the wt loss.  Please try to eat at least 3 times a day if at all possible.  It is very important for your health as well as the baby's!!  Good luck with your situation.

Don't feel bad, I don't gain weight either but whitlack is right... your baby will get what it needs from you.  It is you that will suffer from not getting enough nutrition.  The only way that your baby won't get what he/she needs is if you are actually starving (and I don't just mean feeling really hungry).  You need to eat.  Remember that for one having a baby takes a lot out of you and then once the baby is here you have to be able to care for him/her.  If you are underweight or sick you won't be able to care for the baby properly (expecially if you plan to nurse - it might even cause problems with your milk).  I'm not trying to be hard on you because I know that sometimes it's hard but try to think of it as feeding baby and maybe you won't miss or skip so many meals (even if it's one of those meals in a drink things, at least it's calories and nutrients).  Maybe your could throw some granola bars in your car or purse and if you can't eat all the meals you need, maybe you can make up for it in snacking???
